Benefits of Seasonal Lawn Services

  • What is Aeration?

Aeration is a process in which air is circulated through soil by using specialized equipment to poke holes in the ground. By creating these openings, aeration helps reduce soil compaction, promotes deeper root growth, improves drainage, and enhances the overall health and resilience of the lawn. It’s especially beneficial for lawns that experience heavy foot traffic, clay soil, or thatch buildup. We use Ryan Brand aerators that have 3 inch tines.

  • What is Thatch?

Thatch is a dense layer of dead and living organic material made up of grass stems, roots, and debris, that builds up between the soil surface and the green blades of grass. A small amount of thatch can be beneficial because it helps insulate the soil and retain moisture. But when it becomes too thick, it prevents water, air, and nutrients from reaching the soil and grass roots, which can lead to shallow root growth, increased pests, and poor lawn health.

  • What is Power Raking?

Power raking effectively removes thatch buildup, allowing your grass to breathe and grow more vigorously. We use a Bluebird Power Rakes featuring a series of rotating vertical blades that penetrate the thatch layer and loosen it from the soil beneath. We will clean up and bag after power raking, but we are not able to haul bags away.

  • Enhances Fertilizer Effectiveness

Combining our services with optional fertilizer treatments boosts nutrient absorption for optimal growth.
